My cat needs more rinsing. Are bath wipes safe instead of a full bath?

I worry about this product, because it contains a pesticide that can be toxic if used in too high of a concentration. However, the way this is meant to be used is more like a bathing product. It should be diluted per the manufacturer's directions and then the cats should be bathed per the directions. After the bath, the solution should be thoroughly rinsed and is not meant to stay on the skin, so there should be no concern of them licking it. I prefer other products for controlling fleas though, because this one would have to be repeated. Other products like spot-ons (i.e. Frontline, Revolution) or tablets (i.e. capstar) will control the fleas for an entire month. Treating for fleas is not just restricted to the host, because fleas can reproduce and nest in the environment and continually cause an issue. A one-time bath using a sensitive skin or gentle wash designed for people likely won't harm your cat, but it may still be a good idea to check any specific ingredients in it for toxicity. You can find lists of toxic plants/substances on sites such as here: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control Signs of toxicity to look out for may include minor symptoms such as drooling, foaming at the mouth, seizure, disorientation, dilation of pupils, vomiting or diarrhea. If you do see any signs that may indicate a possible toxicity or find an ingredient that is toxic to your pets in it, it is best to contact your local veterinarian for treatment.

They should be safe - any might have trace essential oils in them but I wouldn't have any concerns around pets. If a wipe was ingested it could potentially cause problems, but the residue the wipes leave should be fine.

As long as they are cat friendly this is ok, but he may be less than impressed! I strongly recommend transitioning him to a high fiber metabolic/weight management diet which would be expected to improve stool consistency and prevent this happening as well as reducing his weight. There are cat and dog specific shampoos available at most pet stores, or on big box websites like Chewy or Amazon. While you certainly can bathe your kitty, I typically don't recommend this as a regular activity since the majority of cats do a great job of cleaning themselves. Unless your cat is getting herself into something that is causing her to be overly filthy, I would recommend letting her do the job herself to avoid yourself getting battle wounds. I generally do not recommend bathing cats at all, if you have some dirt spot issues you can use baby wipes with a tiny amount of peroxide, it will almost always do the job. The shampoo itself is safe, but again, if you ask me- don't do it. and it you chose to do it, definitely do not do it regularly.
