My cat was attacked by dogs and seems tired. Should I see a vet?

You should get your dog to a vet immediately for a thorough examination as there may have been some serious damage done that is not obvious. Hopefully not and it is just the development of some muscle pain etc but at the very least the vet will be able to give some pain relief, alongside peace of mind.

How scary. I would recommend going to a vet for evaluation and x-rays even though it doesn't seem like she has injuries. Internal bleeding in the abdomen or chest is very common when small animals are attacked by larger animals. She could also be in shock and need some supportive care. If going to an emergency/24hour clinic isn't an option, keep her warm and offer food and water as soon as she'll take them, but know she may be in more danger than is immediately obvious and sadly internal injuries can results in fairly sudden death.

Yes, I would be concerned that there may be internal injuries, especially as she is bleeding when she sneezes and she is also likely to be in significant pain and discomfort. Dog bites are at significant risk for infection also so I strongly recommend a full check up by your vet

The veterinarian there can examine her, listen to her heart and lungs, palpate her abdomen, and may recommend x-rays or other testing if needed to help determine what's wrong.

Your cat may have suffered internal damage from the slinging, some organs could have been damaged and thus she may be showing signs of illness due to that. The dog could also have had sarcoptes mites and given them to her which does cause hair loss and scabs and can eventually kill herr. You will need to take her to a vet ASAP for an exam before she gets so sick that she cannot be treated effectively any more. Please make an appointment today, she sounds very ill.

The problem with dog and cat fights or altercations is that it is hard to know the extent of the internal injuries even if there is no external injuries. It is really important to have him checked by a veterinarian to determine for example if he has any evidence of internal injuries such as bleeding into the abdomen, a broken rib or something of that nature. He is probably avoiding contact because he is painful. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and evaluation. They may proceed with radiographs and blood work for example depending on his physical examination. At the very least they can start him on pain control medications. Good luck!

Poor Luna! The incident may have caused some internal damage to her throat area or inner ear and may cause her to be painful. I recommend having Luna seen by a vet as soon as possible, who will be able to take some x-rays to see if there is any damage and the extent of it.
