My cat was attacked by dogs and seems tired. Should I see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years old

My cat got attacked by 2 dogs. It was a few seconds. When I realised it, she tried to jump over the fence but the dogs jumped after her so she climbed a tree. She was very scared and took 20 minutes to come down the tree. She has eaten after that and been out. I just feel that she is very tired right now. Do i need to be worried

I'm so sorry Lizzie went through this traumatic event! Without seeing her and her injuries it is very hard so say. If they shook her at all they could have caused bruising to her lungs or brain. The other concern would be any puncture wounds. I would look her over carefully for wounds and keep her inside for the next 24-48 hours to monitor her. Any signs of lethargy or respiratory distress/panting, I would see a vet ASAP. Good luck and kisses to Lizzie!
