Dog attacked my cat. She's bleeding, lethargic. Is she seriously hurt?

Poor guy. Typically internal bleeding in the abdomen will cause bruising along the belly, in many cases. Also pale gums can indicate internal bleeding, along with severe lethargy and a lack of appetite. So unless you are seeing these things he likely doesn’t have any internal bleeding going on. However, dog bites tend to get infected, so it’s best to have him seen soon for antibiotics and wound management. You can also clean his wounds with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water to help deter infection. Keep an eye on him tonight and tomorrow and get him seen first thing Monday if that is your only option for vet care. If he seems unstable (mostly the symptoms I mentioned above) at any point, then an ER vet visit is highly recommended. I hope that Blackjack is able to recover well. Best wishes and take care.

It's very possible your dog's illness is related to the cat bite. He likely has an infection since cat bites tend to seal over and trap bacteria inside to fester. I strongly recommend getting your dogs seen by your vet as soon as possible for an exam, wound care and probably antibiotics to help him heal faster.

Cat bite wounds are a high risk for becoming badly infected so you should monitor very closely for signs of heat, pain or swelling which would indicate the need for a full vet check and prescription medications. Bathe the area gently is saline and apply some dog friendly antiseptic such as betadine

I'm so sorry Lizzie went through this traumatic event! Without seeing her and her injuries it is very hard so say. If they shook her at all they could have caused bruising to her lungs or brain. The other concern would be any puncture wounds. I would look her over carefully for wounds and keep her inside for the next 24-48 hours to monitor her. Poor Luna! The incident may have caused some internal damage to her throat area or inner ear and may cause her to be painful. I recommend having Luna seen by a vet as soon as possible, who will be able to take some x-rays to see if there is any damage and the extent of it. I am sorry to hear about Stitch. Based on your description I would recommend having her examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. I would be concerned about possible head trauma/brain injury, injury to the eyes which can be very delicate and if left untreated can result in permanent damage/loss of vision. It also sounds like she has significant swelling of the face. This is likely very painful even if your cat is not showing obvious pain (cats are very good at hiding pain) imagine if you had been mauled as your cat had. The vet can prescribe pain medication to help Stitch feel more comfortable, antibiotics if needed to prevent infection, and may also booster Stitch's rabies vaccine if it has not been done recently and this dog is of unknown vaccine status.
