My cat ate tobacco, has worms. Is dewormer safe? Other cats have URI.

Tobacco is highly toxic to dogs, cats and children. Please buy a dog wormer against round worm available either from your veterinarian or at a pet shop and dose it according to the labels on the packaging. Please do not use tobacco.

Medications for round worms can be found as well in any pet shops. Unfortunately they are not that effective as the ones on prescription. Urinary problems must be checked by your veterinarian as if controlled the infection/inflammation probably won't resolve by itself. Having said that, a lot of urinary tract problems are related to stress, so often there is are ''stressors'' that can be controlled in cat's environment. With so many complications i recommend you get a full health assessment by your vet in order to identify and prioritize her issues. Working unwell cats needs to be done carefully using mild products carefully calculated for their weight

This looks segmented from the photo so this is a tapeworm. Cats get tapeworms from eating rodents, or fleas when grooming. They can’t be given to humans or other animals since they need to go through an intermediate host. You can purchase tapeworm medication at PetCo. If your kitty regurgitated the entire amount of cigarette immediately there should be no problem. I would monitor Millie for lethargy and other signs of illness, and if you see any, she needs to be taken to a petER immediately. However, I do not anticipate any problems due to her vomiting immediately after ingesting the cigarette.

I am sorry to hear that Toby sounds like he is having an adverse reaction to the tapeworm medicaiton. This sounds serious. I would highly recommend taking Toby in to your vet to have him treated for an adverse reaction, which includes fluids for flush out his system and and symptomatic treatment. Yes it ia sbsolutely ok to treat her for fleas. I would use a spot on such as Advantage or frotnline Plus or similar spot ons. and you can get some Pyrantel Pamoate from your veterinarian to worm her (it is a liquid, that does not taste terrible) or a Drontal for cats tablet.
