Cat ate old fish, now vomiting/diarrhea. Is it heat or food poisoning?

Raw fish can carry parasites and bacterium in them that can make pets (and people) very ill when eaten, so it could be that your vet was trying to explain to you that feeding raw fish was potentially toxic to Akash. If he is still not doing well after a trip to the vet or is getting worse, it is best to bring him back to your vet ASAP as he may need IV fluids and additional medications to get him feeling better. It is also a good idea to not feed any more raw foods to your pet as it can make them very ill.

04/06 is a little far, i would say that it would be a good idea to take her to the vet in the next 24 hours, she is very young, diarrhea combined with vomiting at this age can be life threatening pretty fast.

Diarrhea is very common in pets with heat stroke. I would recommend that you take Qumar to the vet immediately, since this can get very serious very quickly. Pets with heat stroke need to have their temperature monitored very closely, need IV fluids, and often antibiotics if they start having diarrhea since they can have damage to the lining of the intestines. You can help bring her temperature down slowly by wetting her paws and belly and placing her in front of a cool fan. That is a concerning clinical condition and a check up would absolutely needed as soon as possible at your local veterinary clinic. The spine fish should be ideally removed under sedation or general anesthetic.

Vomiting can be observed with gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, food sensitivity, foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. I am concerned that she is becoming dehydrated. I do not think this is because of the fish. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I would recommend having her re-examined and do further diagnostics like X-rays and blood work to determine why. If she is still eating and drinking and energetic, you could wait until Tuesday. Acute vomiting and diarrhea, especially with poor appetite and lethargy, are certainly cause for concern. This could be caused by an infection, something stuck in Max's intestines, or a metabolic problem. At the veterinarian, they will examine him and probably take x-rays and run some lab work to look for the underlying cause of Max's issues. I wouldn't wait very long to go to the vet since Max is so young and small and so can become dehydrated quickly. See if you can get in for an exam today.
