My 6-month-old calf has scours but is eating fine. What's the cause?

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Cow | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 26 days old

My 6 month old calf had scours when she was 2 weeks old I spent a week with her and she got better but for the past 2 weeks she has had diarrhea but no other symptoms and she's eating just fine, can you help? She means the world to me

Hello. There are many reasons for scours in a calf, but the first thing to investigate is the presence of intestinal parasites. If you have not had a fecal analysis done to look for parasites like coccidia, this would be the first step. Since she is eating well, the addition of electrolyte & probiotics may help, but start by having Choo Choo's stool looked at. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
