Why is my puppy throwing up, has diarrhea, and won't eat?

Poor Charlie! It's great that she doesn't have parvo, but if she can't keep food down and keeps throwing up, she could have a severe GI illness, pancreatitis, or a foreign body. I would take her back into the vet now. She will need a shot to stop the vomiting, and IV fluids for hydration. If the vet hasn't done x-rays to check for a foreign body, I think it would be a good idea for those to be done.

Baily is so cute! I am concerned though that he is not eating and having such intestinal upset. I would recommend you take Baily in for an exam with your vet as soon as possible. Puppies this young can get dehydrated very quickly and become quite ill. I am worried about the possibility of intestinal parasites, eating something he shouldn't have (dietary indiscretion), or even a bacterial or viral infection (like parvovirus). Baily may need some tests to see what the underlying cause is, such as a parvo test and fecal test. He also may need some anti-nausea medication, antibiotics, or even fluid therapy if he is dehydrated. I hope he gets back on track quickly!

The most likely diagnosis for a puppy with Jack Jack's symptoms is parvo virus. I suggest you get him to a vet as soon as possible for an exam and parvo test. This is serious and life-threatening. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. They would be able to check for this disease as well as checking for other possibilities such as intestinal worms or other infections. The sooner these diseases are diagnosed the better the outcome tends to be. At the very least, Gus can be started on anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications and his hydration status can be checked. The most likely diseases are as follows: 1. Parvo, a virus that primarily attacks the immune system and intestines of dogs and is very lethal if left without supportive care. 2. Intestinal parasites which can cause intestinal blockage and even anemia (depletion of red blood cells). 3. Other viruses with varying severities. This is not an exhaustive list, just the most common things for a puppy. They will all lead to dehydration and other secondary issues which can all be severe enough to cause death. Whatever the underlying disease, he looks very ill and needs attention from a veterinarian immediately. I would recommend taking him to your nearest emergency veterinary hospital as soon as possible.
