Is this a bug or seed stuck in my long-haired cat's matted fur?

Hi please can you identify this? SOMETHING alive inside this burr/seed? the black point goes in+out. found on my long haired cat, also small round ones like grass seeds but white larvae?) or bug curled into ball? have you ever heard of caterpillars coming out of pet hair? or human hair? my long-haired cat has 2 areas, incl under chin, tightly compacted clump of hair and above 'seeds' hidden within. photo 2 has cats hair attached, they tougfh to remove and bury quickly. cloith moth catplr?

This just looks like plant material to me. Maybe something in the cocklebur family? I don't see the "alive" thing you are referring to. Honestly, I think if there is something alive in the seed then it is just coincidence it is on your cat. I think the burr just got stuck in the fur. I have never heard of caterpillars coming out of any hair. If it is in the burr on your cat it is only because it is stuck in the fur. Not because it is "living" there. I recommend you just keep him brushed out daily. If you are really worried you can also take these things into your vet so they can see them. They may know more about these since they are local.

What are these fuzzy round things in my cat's fur? Are they burrs?
It is hard to see what those are in the photos. My best guess is that those are some type of cocklebur. I would not be worried about this at all. Just remove them when you see them. If you want to post again with a better photo we may be able to help you more.

My outdoor cat has a bug-like object on a matted tuft. Is it bad?
It is difficult to determine exactly what the bug-like object is. Possibly using clippers to remove the hair mat that is sticking up would help. That way, you could inspect the skin underneath to see if there is a problem. Since he goes outside, I recommend using a flea and tick prevention, like Revolution or Frontline.

Hello. They look like a type of grass seed or plant awn. Many plants will have wicked looking "hooks" that attach to a passing bird or animal. This helps to disburse the plants as far as possible. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

My cat has human hair sticking out. Should I pull it or let it pass?
Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I would not pull on the hair and I would let it pass on its own. If it is just a single piece of long hair, your cat should be able to pass it on his/her own. If your cat ever becomes inappetant, vomits or has diarrhea, these may be signs of a gastrointestinal obstruction, which is a surgical emergency. It is possible the hair is attached to something else inside your cat's gastrointestinal system which could potentially cause an obstruction. If your cat is otherwise healthy and acting OK, I would simply monitor his feces for the passing of the hair. I hope this is helpful!

What are these tiny black moving specks on my cat's fur?
Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! From your pictures the black squiggly thing looks like "flea dirt" or flea poop. When you wet it on a white paper towel it melts to blood. They usually don't move though unless you had a flea. I would start a good flea preventative like Comfortis, Bravecto or the Seresto collar. My cat keeps throwing up weird stuff. What is this foreign material?
Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The vomit looks like foreign material like hay or some sort of basket or string material. I would look around the house or outside and see what she is getting in to. It doesn't look like round worms to me. She is eating something she shouldn't be. I advise locating where she is getting it and removing it before it causes a blockage. Have a great day
