Hello. Unfortunately, it sounds like the ice cream stick is lodged. There is a small chance that she might vomit it back up, but this could cause irritation or damage to the esophagus. I really think this needs to be removed by your veterinarian. Call to see if they have endoscopic equipment as this will be a non-invasive way to retrieve the stick ( altho it still requires anesthesia ). If the stick can not be removed this way, surgery may be necessary, but in most cases it is no more difficult than doing a spay. But I do recommend having her evaluated. A check up would be needed to remove the stitch (which may be an internal one) and allow adequate healing. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/chewing. Oh Chandler, what a naughty kitty. They are so good at removing their cone! It looks like there is a little prolapsed tissue there likely from where he opened the incision. As long as he keeps his cone on overnight it will likely be okay to see you vet tomorrow. They can then make sure he doesn't need a suture and/or antibiotics. The cost of a spay varies greatly but the least expensive option typically is doing it at your local humane society which you may qualify for. Usually neuter surgeries go without complications although like with any surgeries animals can have complications from being under anesthesia. It is recommended to avoid him getting to the incision to avoid delayed healing. You can do this by using an e-collar which you can obtain from your veterinarian or local pet store. Sometimes non-steroidal anti-inaflammarory drugs are used for a few days after surgery. Good luck!
