My male cat is aggressive. Will he hurt pregnant female or kittens?

I would keep Lazgah away from your female and the kittens. Some tomcats will attack and kill the kittens as a means to get the attention of the busy mother away from them. I would not allow him to have any contact with her or the kittens until the kittens are weaned from their mother.

If the male cat is irritating your pregnant female the best thing you can do is to keep them separated until after the kittens are born. It should not affect the kittens if they are around each other but it may lead to undue stress for your female cat. If you are unable to safely separate them at home you may want to consider boarding the male cat or having him stay with a friend or family member until the kittens are born. No, the male cannot be anywhere near the kittens or the mother. Queens can be extremely protective of her kittens, and could attack him. He could also hurt the kittens. I'd have the males neutered asap to stop this behavior.

Hormonal changes can definitely cause changes in behavior such as what you are describing. It would be best to keep the male separate from the queen, especially if she is already acting aggressively toward him. Once the kittens are born, the queen will likely get even more protective, which could result in injury if you leave the cats together.

She is likely to become more protective when the new born kittens arrive and it is unlikely she will become more accepting of the older kittens at this stage. Ensure she has a quiet area to have the new kittens undisturbed y other cats (including her previous offspring)

About 60 days after they mated, Rose will be giving birth to her kittens. Definitely offer her plenty of food, an area to nest in and a safe space away from Lucy. I would keep Lucy away from Rose permanently or preferably, have Lucy neutered as soon as possible and Rose spayed after the kittens are weaned as she could become pregnant again soon after she gives birth. In addition they may potentially hurt each other while fighting (scratched eyes and faces that may necessitate a trip to the vet’s). Good luck!
