My new cockatiel screams at voices. How can I make it stop?

Cockatiels are extremely vocal birds, so it may just be that Cici is excited and very "talkative". Giving him some fun things to do such as adding in an enriching toy that requires concentration to open or play with, playing soothing music, or even moving him to a quieter location free of other pets and people may help him to settle down some. If he is housed with another bird, there could be competition over perches, food and water dishes which is causing stress, so adding extra in and making sure there is enough room for both birds may help. If he does continue screaming, or seems ill or painful in addition, a vet visit is always a good idea to rule out any pain or underlying health issues.

Since the birds are new to you (and I am assuming new to each other) they are probably a little stressed and taking time to adjust to their new surroundings. Also, since they are new to you, this may be completely normal behavior for them. You may want to try separating them and see if that helps. If they are eating and drinking well, do not appear to be injured and are having normal excrement then I would not be too concerned. She is likely screaming out of boredom. Birds are very social and require attention and engagement. Provide plenty of toys and puzzles. A lay area on top of her cage is also recommended where she can spend time out of her cage. When she screams, do not "reward" her by giving food. Ignore her until she is quiet then offer treats, individual attention and other rewards. Praise her and attention when she is quiet. Be patient and be consistent.

Yes achu could of been communicating to the other birds around even if he was in his own cage and room. Birds can be very vocal. I would not be. Invented at this time and allow him time to adapt to his new living space. Hope that helps
