My macaw stopped talking after beak trim. Is it related to the bleeding?

A sudden change in behavior can sometimes indicate pain or illness, so a good first step is to have Mithu examined by your vet to rule out any health issues. If he checks out healthy, boredom or understimulation could be a potential cause. Spending more time together, offering a variety of toys that can be played with, chewed on, or torn apart, or even adding a playpen to his cage to let him stretch and be active may help.

If he continues to act abnormally, I would be concerned about an injury and recommend he visit his vet. A loud scream definitely doesn't mean he hurt himself, but sustained lack of interest in play would make me very concerned. I hope he continues to return to normal.

She may be more comfortable in a smaller room or she likes the bathroom acoustics (we all sound better in the shower!). Talk to her and with her everywhere. There's no forcing her to talk back but she may begin to mimic you in other rooms. Praise and reward her when does talk and be patient.

It is common for birds who have been frightened to not want to vocalize or play - I would recommend looking to see if there is anything different in their environment, or even in the area surrounding their cage(s). This doesn't have to be something that is a really big change - it can also be something subtle, like a new person in the house or the addition of a new piece of furniture or picture on the wall that has been added. I would also ask if there have been anything that could have entered the air, such as use of a non-stick (Teflon) pan, or anything that scents the air (smoke, air fresheners, candles, etc.). These can be very irritating to the respiratory tract (lungs, windpipe, air sacs, etc.), and can make birds silent as well. It can also be very harmful to them. If you are unable to find any changes to their areas and they continue to be silent for the remainder of the day, then it may be time to have them evaluated by a veterinarian in your area. It is certainly posdible that he could be damaged as they are quite delicate and their bones are relatively brittle. However I doubt this is the case, more likely I think that the bird has got really stressed when being held and overheated and likely struggled for breath. Handling can be incredibly stressful for birds and sometimes can even result in heart attacks. I would kerp him in a really calm and quiet environment as this has likely taken a large toal on him and he needs to rest. If there is no improvement you will need a vet check just in case there has been damage.
