My parrot fell from cage, now not playing. Is he injured or sick?

It's possible your parrot may just be making chirpy/soothing sounds as a way to relax as he settles down to sleep, which can be normal. However if you suspect an internal injury from a fall, see signs of illness, or he is otherwise not acting normally it is best to seek veterinary care and a complete exam.

This doesn't have to be something that is a really big change - it can also be something subtle, like a new person in the house or the addition of a new piece of furniture or picture on the wall that has been added. I would also ask if there have been anything that could have entered the air, such as use of a non-stick (Teflon) pan, or anything that scents the air (smoke, air fresheners, candles, etc.). These can be very irritating to the respiratory tract (lungs, windpipe, air sacs, etc.), and can make birds silent as well. It can also be very harmful to them. If you are unable to find any changes to their areas and they continue to be silent for the remainder of the day, then it may be time to have them evaluated by a veterinarian in your area. If he is otherwise healthy, eating and drinking, and has periods of activity and chirping while he recovers, I wouldn't be too concerned, especially if the vet gave him the OK. If he makes a strange noise and had a rope around his neck for a long time, it is possible the vocal cords may be a bit bruised or strained, which could just take some time to heal. He may also hold his head in a strange position while resting if the area is still sore or healing. If he doesn't seem to improve over time, or shows any signs of illness, having your vet take another look is always best.

I would examine the wing he is chewing on/having trouble with to check for any injuries or wounds that may be obvious, and also limit his activity for a day to see if it helps with any minor injuries.
