What's that growth on my female budgie's stomach? Is she obese?

Unfortunately, without an in person exam, it would be hard to say what exactly is going on. Egg-binding can definitely cause an obstruction and protrusion like pictured, as can issues with the vent being clogged with stool or underlying illness. If you suspect egg binding, you can try putting her in a warm water bath to help break up any stool crusted to her vent and to help the muscles to relax some to see if she can pass the egg. Since budgie eggs are so delicate I wouldn't recommend trying to remove it on your own as it can easily break inside her. Moving her to a hospital cage that is kept warm and with low perches/easy access to food can also help, as can catching her to help keep her vent clean and free of debris. I would also bring her back to a vet ASAP if the medication given is not helping.

There is no way for me to tell you exactly what is going on with Cookie. A picture would beneficial so if you can post again with a photo that may be more helpful. There is a bump that is sometimes present in that area when they are getting ready to lay eggs or incubating. So that is a possibility. Another option is a fatty deposit which is also common. There are many other things it could be from an abscess to a tumor to a abnormal feather follicle. If she is eating and drinking and acting fine then I would just monitor it for now. If she starts showing and signs of illness or discomfort then I would say you need to find an avian vet to take her to for an exam.

The birds pictured are parakeets/budgies. They both look normal in appearance. Sometimes, they will perch fluffed up a bit. This is normal as long as they aren't doing it all the time or have other symptoms. Monitor for lethargy, decreased appetite and loose droppings. See an experienced avian veterinarian for an exam to diagnose illness or injury in needed.

This lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Irina to an avian vet specialist, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.

As you already eluded to, getting a vet visit for evaluation is recommended. Until you can do that, the best you can do is supportive care at home. Unfortunately, we can not recommend any medications, as your vet will need to do that once she is seen. Things you can do are to make sure she has a well heated environment of around 30C so she doesn’t need to waste energy on keeping herself warm. You can also put her in a cage with low perches (or no perches) and easily accessed food and water sources. With her enlarged belly, your vet will also want to rule out a potential egg on the visit, which may be done with a physical exam alone, or radiographs (x-rays) may also be needed. If a female, egg binding should be considered. Clumped stool in either sex could be due to liver, renal, intestinal and or infectious diseases. A veterinary visit is recommend to assist in a diagnostic/treatment plan. Providing supplemental heat in the 80-85 F range will give some comfort but is not a treatment. Good luck.
