Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Canary | Female

I just bought a new canary yesterday and she has some redness under her wing. She is eating, drinking and acting very normally I just wanted to know if I should be concerned because I cant find the same issue I'm seeing anywhere upon searching.

Thanks for reaching out about Daisy. Birds has small feather-less areas underneath the wings but are dry, flat, non-painful. If concerned, a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Feather mites or lice can lead to abnormal grooming and loss.
Good luck.
