Pregnant goat dragging legs, swollen rear. Is she okay or in labor?

Her front leg looks very swollen. This cow needs to be seen by a vet asap to ascertain what is wrong with her leg and get appropriate treatment. It is important to let a vet treat her as the wrong medication could kill her calve, likewise if she is in pain the stress could effect her calve.

This does not look normal, especially if it’s been like that a week. You need to have a veterinarian examine her to make sure the kids are alive and that she has enough room to have them naturally after her injury. You can find significant fluid retention in dogs near birthing time. It is similar to the swelling you see in human's feet. If she seems to be unwell or off form I would consider a vet visit as a precaution to check her hear and blood pressure. Most likely it is just a bit of retention due to the pressure on her lymphatic system.

I would definitely be concerned enough to call a vet out for this. If she was in labor, then you would have seen signs of this (swollen vulva, fluid discharge, etc.) and it would not cause them to act this debilitated. Oh my. Poor girl. : ( I would suggest taking Ramu in to your vet right away. THis looks like possible edema which could indicate an internal problem such as a lymphatic drainage issue or even underlying heart disease. She needs a full evaluation and treatment through your vet. You will have to likely carry her to your car and then notify the vet once you get to the clinic so that they can assist you with getting her in to the hospital on a stretcher. I would be concerned about either a soft tissue injury, a bone being broken, or even a spinal disc rupturing due to the struggle to get out. Any of those issues could make her stop walking with her rear. I'd recommend having her evaluated ASAP.

If only one teat is enlarged and she is not eating properly there is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed. Pregnancy toxemia is very likely but your vet will need to see her to get a diagnosis. This can be a very serious issue that can lead to death if not treated properly.
