Sentinel has no tick coverage and does not kill fleas. It only sterilizes the eggs. I always go up a size to be safe as most dogs gain weight but rarely lose weight. It has a good safety margin so using the 25-50 pounds medicine would be best. You will continue to need the Simparica or nexgard with this

Over the counter flea products that are fine to use with sentinel include frontline plus, advantage and Advantix. Just be sure to not bathe your dog a couple days before or after applying any of those products as that can affect how effective they are.

This worm looks like a tapeworm segment, which would explain why the dewormers he has had so far have not been effective - tapeworms are more difficult to get rid of than most other intestinal parasites. Over-the-counter dewormers and Sentinel will not kill them. You will need to get a special prescription dewormer from your vet that contains praziquantel in order to get rid of the tapeworms - typically one dose now, then another in 14-21 days to ensure that all life stages of the parasite are killed.

You can get her an OTC deworming treatment called Panacur. Keep in mind that it doesn't kill tapeworms, which requires a prescription medication called prazaquantel. You will have to get that medication (I recommend Drontal) from a vet, but you can give Penelope Panacur.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! If you are talking about a praziquantel injection, I think the Sentinel is a much better option. The injection burns and it only treats one type of parasite. The Sentinel treats many. I recommend the Sentinel. Kisses to Penny!
