It is very unlikely that the store will take the gecko back, as they will not know whether it has any health problems. If you cannot keep it, you should ask your local shelter to take it , or contact a reptile club in your area. Maybe someone will take the Gecko off your hands.

Thanks for reaching out about Ruby. The tank needs to be warmed to 95-100 F in the basking area and no place in the tank should drop below 80F at night. UVB spectrum is important as is the proper diet. Anorexia for 3-4 weeks is serious and a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/ treatment plan. Intestinal parasites, infections, malnutrition and others are possible. Good luck.

This may be due to liver/gall bladder infection, impaction/constipation or parasites. This gecko may be quite ill and should be examined by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. Submit a stool sample ot diagnose intestinal parasites. Soak Flavio in a warm 50/50 solution of water and unflavored PediaLyte. This will warm him up and provide hydration. If he perks up, offer Fluker's Repta Boost. You can find it in the local Petco. Maintain proper environmental parameters and have him seen by your vet as soon as you can. Thanks for reaching out about your gecko and including photos. This animal is emaciated and starving for nutrients. A veterinary visit if highly recommended, ASAP, as it appears severely ill. Intestinal infections/parasite and metabolic disorders (liver, kidney) are among the most common causes. Check and correct husbandry as environmental parameters (heat, UVB exposure, humidity) are extremely important for recovery. Offer water and food through a syringe until a veterinary appointment can be made. Good luck.
