What's the safest chemical to use when cleaning a newly bought cage for a crested gecko?

Last week when cleaning Sebastian's cage, I tripped and broke the corner of his tray. I glued it back together, but I was wondering, can I use Clorox wipes to clean his tray in stead of soap and water? I don't want the glue to come off and have to re glue the corner.
