Can I wash my pet's water bottle and nozzle in the dishwasher?

If you have a dishwasher, I recommend running it through that. It will get the grime and dirt off. Otherwise, you can soak it in hot water and dishwashing soap, then use a brush to scrub off all the grime and dirt.

You definitely want to add some bleach to the wash to ensure it kills the mold. Follow the instructions on your machine to help prevent any kind of discoloration of the toys. If your pet has a known or suspected allergy, then I would use a hypoallergenic detergent or a baby detergent such as Deft detergent. For the tooth brush- just water after each use. regarding the food bowl- cleaning it with dishwashing soap once a week is usually enough if you feed only dry food, if you feed wet food you need to clean it after each meal.

You can, but make sure to rinse it really well, because even small amounts of residual soap can be harmful for them. If you use a minimal amount of soap and make sure it's all rinsed-off, then it should fine. I hope that helps and all is well with Leo and Ashton.

It's fine that you wash their dishes with yours and use the same sponges. Just be sure to use lots of soap and hot water to kill any germs. Also make sure they are up to date on their deworming treatments, and wash your hands thoroughly after scooping Dollie's litter box :-)

Hi there! Storm can drink out of a water bowl no problem. I have two rabbits, and even when we are camping they drink out of their water bowls. I find this is cleaner and easier than dealing with dripper bottles that always leak. The key is you need a very heavy, crockery-type bowl that can't be dumped over--this works best. And make sure you change the water at least every other day. Have fun--buns are the best! PS if you insist on using the bottle, he will absolutely figure it out sooner or later :).

They tend to be cleaner, and are safe to throw in a dishwasher cycle now and then. I'd specifically avoid plastic. Hope that helps!
