You may want to consider putting a bowl of water in his cage and see if he will drink from that as well. Every rabbit is different, as long as she has fresh water available to her and she is eating well and looks healthy, I would not worry overly as she must be drinking enough to maintain herself. If you feed greens she will drink less. I would provide her with both a nipple drinker and bowl of water as some rabbits prefer either or.

Hello, male rabbits can sometimes show dominance by this sort of behaviour. They often run in circles, grunt and like you say chuck things about. It is okay in itself and quite normal, but a pain for you. The simplest solution would be to invest in ceramic dishes that are too heavy for him to tip. The best way to get a bunny to drink water is to feed him leafy green veggies that have been previously soaked in water for a few minutes, such as kale, parsley, cilantro, dandelion greens, carrot tops, etc. However, when a bunny has loose/runny stools, I find the best thing to do first is to eliminate ALL veggies and fruits, and only free a diet of timothy hay, and a small amount (1/8 to 1/4 cup) of pellets. This in itself may help to resolve the runny stools, and once resolved, you can start to re-introduce one type of leafy green veggie at a time. Always leave out a bowl of fresh water at all times and allow him to drink when he wants. I hope this helps, and that Efiti feels better soon!

Hello. Yes, rabbits can drink rain water but there are always risks when the water contents are not controlled. There is always a risk of parasite transmission, bacteria, pesticides, other toxins occurring in rain water and run off. If the rain water is collected in a clean container that’s protected from other wildlife and other sources if contamination, then it should be fine. If in doubt, offer clean tap or bottled water.

I would recommend making his home more welcoming with toys and treats. You can hide treats in his cage and add bunny safe toys to keep him preoccupied. You can also place a nice sleeping area in the cage as well. The more fun/comfortable his cage is, the more likely he will want to spend time there.

I once had a stray dog that I took in who would not use a water bowl (he was not used to having one) and would drink out of puddles/rain water instead. I ended up switching his water bowl to a clear glass mixing bowl from my kitchen and he would use that. Try switching Zeus' water bowl to see if he prefers a different type.
