My squirrel is vomiting white foam, weak, and not eating. What to do?

I am sorry to hear about Potol. It sounds like he is in need of urgent veterinary care. If he is weak and not eating he is likely very dehydrated and may need aggressive supportive care such as fluids given under the skin on via a vein. The vet will need to examine him and get a history to try to determine why he is not eating to address the underlying problem.

It could be he is experiencing an abnormal reaction to the flea medication, but it could also be he has a severe illness like kidney disease, GI illness, liver disease, heart disease, or even cancer causing his symptoms. He sounds extremely sick, and I do not think you should wait until tomorrow to take him into a vet. You need to take him into an ER vet immediately. Best of luck.

I'm sorry Meenu is not doing well. I recommend you find an exotics veterinarian asap. If he was not born in captivity but was a wild squirrel you attempted to raise he may have parasites or be dealing with malnutrition if he was not on an approriate formula. I would search for an exotics specialist asap. They may want to test for parasites and may be able to offer a critical formula that he can be syringe fed. Good luck.

My guess is that he has an upper respiratory infection and this is not likely something that is going to resolve without antibiotic therapy since he has not gotten any better in the last 4 days. Inappetence and lethargy could be due to a gastrointestinal condition such as gastroenteritis, an infection, cancer, pancreatitis, a gastrointestinal foreign body, among other possibilities. I highly recommend that you have Charlie evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities.
