Dog vomiting white foam, not eating after flea treatment. Help!

I'm sorry to hear that Boo hasn't been feeling well! It is possible that the permethrin spray or collars may be related to his vomiting, but other possible causes include a foreign body intestinal obstruction, virus, parasites (particularly tapeworms since they can be transmitted by ingesting infected fleas), among others. At this point, I recommend leaving his flea collar off and bathing Boo in original blue Dawn dish soap to remove any residue remaining from the permethrin sponge bath. Withhold food for the next 12 hours, then gradually offer very small frequent meals of a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for a few days. After a few days, gradually mix the bland diet with his normal food over another 5-7 days. If Boo continues to vomit, develops diarrhea, becomes lethargic or stops eating, he will need to go to his vet for further evaluation. Once he vomiting resolves, be sure that Boo is regularly receiving a high quality flea preventative, such as Nexgard, Bravecto, or K9 Advantix II. I hope that he feels better soon!

I believe I see milk in the bowl you have in the picture there. If that is the case I would stop giving that right away. Domino is more than old enough not to still be getting puppy milk. If she continues to vomit after stopping the milk, then it's best to take her to your vet for a full examination and possible testing to determine why she is vomiting so that we know how to best help her. Also I would recommend bathing her in Dawn dish detergent to strip all the fleas off her for now. Make sure not to get any in her eyes and follow up with an oatmeal based or aloe based shampoo and conditioner to prevent her skin from getting too dry. She is old enough for Revolution topical flea and heartworm preventative from your local vet, so I would recommend getting her hat to protect her from the fleas here moving forward. With this much vomiting I would be worried about the possibility of Penelope eating something she shouldn't have, such as a toy or other foreign material, which could have caused a blockage or obstruction of her intestines. The topical flea and tick medication should not cause her to vomit. I recommend offering Penelope a small amount of boiled chicken and rice, and see if she tolerates this. If she vomits this up and/or cannot even keep water down, she should be seen by your veterinarian for x-rays. If she can eat a small amount of this bland diet, I recommend feeding this boiled chicken and rice for the next 2-3 days and slowly transitioning her back to her usual diet. I hope this is helpful!

However, if this continues, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am sorry to hear that Peanut is feeling so cruddy To be honest, that kind of reaction from flea / tick medication starting 24-36 hours after application would not be very typical. Usually signs of illness would start pretty shortly after. The only reason it could be delayed is it Peanut waited awhile and then managed to lick the stuff off his fur. Depending on the type of drug that was used, some have antidotes while others are just treated supportively. There are no antibiotics that are used to help with this kind of issue, unless the vet believes that one might assist with inflammation or prevent a secondary infection. Based on the clinical signs you have described, the best medication that the vet could prescribe would be something to nausea, diarrhea, and acid production. In terms of diagnostics I would run if you came into my office with these symptoms, I would definitely recommend starting with some baseline blood work and potentially some x-rays to rule out a possible foreign body in the intestines. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Diesel evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

Poor Boo Boo sounds very ill! He could be suffering from a severe GI illness, could have a foreign body, or could have parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated. It's quite serious he has been this sick for four to five days, and whenever a dog shows these symptoms for more than 24 hours, the dog has to see a vet immediately. Boo Boo needs to be taken to a vet now so his symptoms can be diagnosed and treated. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
