Is it normal for my pet to be slower and sleep more in winter?

Lack of energy can be the sign of many things that go from just being tired to actually representing a problem like due to pain for example. If he is otherwise fine, I recommend you keep a close eye on him for now. If you are concerned about your cats activity, I recommend having her seen by a vet to make sure she doesn’t have an underlying medical issue. You should also make sure your cat has not lost weight recently, as that is a common symptom of illness. A respiratory rate of 25 is relatively normal for cats, but if you think she is having trouble breathing, she should be seen by a vet immediately. This may just be normal sleeping behavior for Coco so I don't think you need to be concerned. If she is otherwise acting normally I would just monitor. To err on the side of caution you could always schedule an veterinary examination for Coco just to ensure no health issues are going on. Hello. It certainly is possible that this is normal for Chi. If her eating/drinking habits have not changed, she seems well, no coughing or problems eliminating, then I would not be too concerned. Hello. This is a very difficult situation to answer in this type forum. There are many questions that need to be answered as well as a good physical exam to determine if something is indeed wrong with Anna. I would say that if she is reluctant to interact & engage with you or your family when there is a fair amount of activity in the house, then yes, this would be quite abnormal for a relatively young dog. So, if you think her sleeping is abnormal, it is very important to have her examined by your veterinarian to rule out disease, infection, anemia, low thyroid function, neurologic dysfunction or anything else that may be responsible for her low energy & excessive sleeping. In terms of the appetite, this is sometimes not uncommon in puppies when they are in their new environment. I recommend that you continue to monitor him for now, especially if you just got him. If these symptoms of not eating well and sleeping a large portion of the day do not improve, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment.
