My rabbit is seizing. Is it from roach poison or eating a dead roach?

Poor Bugs! The signs you describe are extremely concerning and can be caused by a severe bacterial or viral infection. E. cuniculi, a fungus, can cause these signs as well. I recommend having Bugs seen by a vet as soon as possible, as he likely requires supportive care and treatment.

This can occur due to many different causes including infections, inflammation, tumors, and other causes. If Mocha is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing normally right now, you can monitor Mocha for now. I would recommend however to have Mocha seen by a rabbit veterinarian as soon as you are able to get an appointment. I would also recommend trying to get one of these episodes on tape if you can, so if you see it happening try to record it. Best of luck with Mocha.

I recommend you bring both the mother bunny and the remaining live bunnies to a vet right away to try to see if there is something you can do for the other two bunnies. It does sound like a seizure and this can be a very serious condition in rabbits. There is nothing you can do at home except to keep him in a calm, quiet, dark area. I would remove anything from the cage that could injure him. Don't handle him as to minimize stress. Just get him to a vet as soon as you can and be sure it is a vet that is used to treating rabbits. Hi there! I am so, so sorry to hear about Boo. Losing a pet is never easy, and losing them suddenly is even harder. Unfortunately, there's no way for us to tell for sure what happened to Boo without completing a necropsy (post-mortem examination and testing). From the symptoms you mentioned (bloody stool, seizure, lethargy), it could have been multiple issues, including a bacterial infection, gastric ulcer, viral hemorrhagic disease (a virus that can cause bleeding and seizures), parasites, or a clotting disorder. Rabbits are generally very good at hiding their symptoms, so if Boo got sick very quickly, you may not have noticed anything wrong. There was likely nothing that you could have done to prevent this if she was acting normally. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I recommend that you take Bun Bun to a vet. It doesn't sound like something simple that can be easily fixed at home. One option is to get "Critical Care" food, and feed this with a syringe, however this won't help with pain, toxins, or seizures. Best of luck with Bun Bun.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. When rabbits get sick they usually go downhill very quickly. Intestinal infection ( or dysbiosis) is a common occurrence . This usually causes a sudden loss of appetite and lethargy. Rabbits usually pass away very quickly when this happens.
