How long to wait between new veggies for my rabbit & how many leaves?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | spayed | 7 months and 14 days old

It says new vegetables should be introduced gradually and one by one and not suddenly, so if I introduce her to one what is the window time before I introduce another new one? Also when introducing, how many leaves?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your rabbit. I would introduce one new vegetable every 5-7 days. This is enough time to see how her digestive tract will handle the change. If all goes well (no diarrhea), then add another one. Offer 2-3 leaves of the new food at a time. I hope this information helps!
