My rabbit has a mite infestation. What's the best treatment or cure?

The best treatment for mites in Rabbits is Ivermectin drops, you might be able to find them over the counter in pet shops, otherwise at the vet's. regarding the bedding i would recommend throwing away everything you can and washing very well in high temperature everything you cannot.

This is most likely Scabies (a mite infestation), this can become much more severe than that, i recommend taking him to the vet ASAP, he will need an injection of ivermectin (3 times one week apart), this should resolve the problem within 2-4 weeks.

Jolina appears to have mange mites. This needs special medication to clear up. Either Ivermectin OR selamectin. You will have to get these medications from your vet as they must be dosed very accurately to avoid potential side effects or a deadly overdose. Mites are very easy to treat if you have correct medication but it can take months to completely resolve.

Thanks for reaching out about Moyel. Benzyl benzoate would not be good if ingested. Try topical aloe vera 100%. Pain medications from the veterinarian might also provide some comfort. You really need to get the infection examined by a vet if this is possible, because this could be a bacterial and not fungal infection. Ideally the lesion should be cultured. Antibiotics can be very dangerous for rabbits so it's really important to get the right diagnosis and the right medication before treating him.

It looks as though this product is 2% w/v, which translates to 20mg moxidectin per ml. Based on that information, Moyel would receive 0.029ml according to your vet's directions. The Quest gel is labeled for exclusive use in horses and clearly states that it should not be used in other species. As a result, I would inquire further with your vet as to their planned course of treatment. Even if they feel comfortable prescribing this medication in an off-label fashion (which is commonly done!), the volume of medication appropriate for Moyel is so minuscule that it's next to impossible to achieve accurate dosing. I would instead ask if they have recommendations for topical treatments of moxidectin or selamectin if they're more comfortable using those medications rather than injectable ivermectin.
