Can my potbellied pig play with rabbits? Is it safe, or can they get sick?

Julius- what a great bunny name. Yes one concern with housing rabbits together with guinea pigs is the bacteria Bordatella bronchispetica. This bacteria is a common cause of respiratory infections in guinea pigs and when living in close quarters, can be spread from a bunny carrier to the guinea pig. Because of this, and because of their different nutritional needs, modes of communication, and risk of injury I would not house rabbits and Guinea pigs together myself.

Jellybean should be ok. If she appears lethargic or has decreased appetite then you should take her to see a vet. Pigs can eat a variety of things and be ok. Yes, even rotten dead things. There is no need to separate Jelly bean from your other animals.

I would not recommend to put Bernie and the guinea pig together in the same cage as they may fight. The are fine in the same house as long as neither have parasites (which is unexpected in most cases). Have fun babysitting!

They can still catch it through direct contact so i would recommend keeping the cage far from the other two. she probably got syphilis when she passed though the vaginal canal, not through the milk. after she is cured she will be fine to be mixed with the other two.
