My guinea pig chews and bites. Is this normal? How can I stop it?

This sounds normal. He is just not used to being picked up/held. You have to train him to accept this handling. Currently he is training you that when he bites you put him down and he gets his way. You may be handling Piglet too much, and she is becoming annoyed with you. I would not be worried, but try to be very gentle and if she seems to be getting irritate them put her down before she bites you. See if you can try to avoid some of that behavior before it becomes a pattern.

Remove the Tunnels so she cannot eat the plastic. Get her some hard chew toys, apple wood pieces or similar where she can chew to take care of her teeth. She may also benefit from a veterinary exam of her teeth.

As long as they aren't drawing blood, don't separate them. If you can give them a bigger cage to share, that's great. Make sure there is nothing in their cage where one could trap the other. You can use fleece to make little tents, pouches and even strips hung from a grid on top of the cage will give them places to hide. Even cardboard boxes with multiple entrances and exits will offer them more variety in places to hide and den.

Try to very gradually get them used to you by offering them something tasty such as fresh vegetables, fruits, and commercial treats from your hand. Eventually, they will start to associate your presence with treats, and will be more willing to come out to play. While they are eating a treat from your hand, you can try to gently pet them on the top of their head. Talk to your guinea pigs regularly so they get used to your voice, and ideally put their cage in a room where you are often in, so they get used to your presence as well. They can also learn their names if you use them often enough! Don't try to pick up/hold your guinea pigs until they have some comfort with taking a treat from your hand and putting their front paws on your hand.
