My water dragon has a painless lump on her hand. What should I do?

My water dragon has a bubble on her hand how do i treat it ? She doesn’t show any sighns of pain when I touch it and she also has no wound

Thank you for the photos. Sorry Jade is having this issue. It looks like a either an abscess (infection), a cyst or a tumor. It does not appear to be an injury. I cannot tell you much on how to treat it without knowing what it is. I strongly suggest you take her to a reptile veterinarian for an exam. They will likely do an aspirate of that lump to collect some cells and get a diagnosis. It if is an abscess she will need antibiotics. If it is cyst or tumor it will likely need to be removed with surgery or it will never go away.

This is most likely a tumor or an abscess. In either case, it will need to be evaluated and treated by your veterinarian. If it is a mass it may need to be removed. The lump may be the bony callous at the site of the break. This means it is healing. Have her rechecked by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. An x-ray of the jaw/skull can be done to confirm the jaw is mending properly. If it is, she likely does not need surgery.

A veterinary visit is needed as this limb needs to be amputated before infection spreads further. Systemic antibiotics might slow spread but will not cure the limb. Sorry. This is most likely an abscess that has formed. Fudge will need to be seen by a vet to have it treated. If it is diagnosed as an abscess the vet will flush it out and place Fudge on antibiotics. I would recommend seeking treatment right away so the swelling does not get any bigger because it may affect Fudge's ability to eat.
