Is radicchio safe for bearded dragons? How much can they eat?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Reptile | Bearded Dragon | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 6 months old

Can I give my bearded dragon rediquo? (It’s a leafy vegetable sorry, if I didn’t spell it right.)

Yes, but radicchio has a disproportionate calcium to phosphorus ratio and is highly acidic. It should be fed to bearded dragons only rarely and in small quantities. There are many other acceptable greens and vegetables that can be offered in its place.
