My ball python got bit by a rat a while ago. It was a pretty bad wound but after applying painkiller free neosporin it continued to get better. Unfortunately, during her last she’s not to long ago, she pulled up the scab and when it came back it was much more red and bigger. I am still applying neosporin. My only worry is if it is infected. What do you think?

Wounds in snakes tend to get infected and either do not heal or heal very slowly, if you believe that the bite wound is starting to look worse within a few days, do not wait too long and take him to an exotic vet specialist in order to get it checked and treated with antibiotics.
