My ball python burned by heating pad. What to do if no vet nearby?

This sounds and looks like a burn from possibly the heating pad or a heating lamp he may have been lying on. This needs to be treated by a veterinarian. I would make sure that your heat sources are well-covered and that what she touches near the heat source is well protected and does not transfer heat so to cause Burns. Another possibility is that if she has recently shut it, sometimes you can get superficial temporary Legion Post shedding that typically resolves on its own. I would monitor this area for now and if it worsens or does not improve I would get her scene by her veterinarian in order to get her the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment. I hope this helps!
