The other thing the jumps in my mind is wether he could have troubles with his anal glands, these are located in the muscles around the anus and normally express themselves when dogs go to the toilet, releasing a scent . These little buggers can sometimes get impacted or infected and turn into little abscesses as well. Either way I think it is bets to take Tyson to see a vet and once he has some pain relief on board, he can be examined and helped accordingly.
