Is it possible to train my dog myself to be a seizure alert dog? If so how?

    Seizure alert dogs and medical alert dogs should be trained by professional behaviorists, dog trainers, and veterinary behaviorists. There are also organizations available that you can contact that will see if you are eligible to receive this kind of animal. The reasons that you need a professional to speak with about this type of training is that not all dogs will be appropriate for this type of task. I do a lot of behavior work in my practice, and if you came in to me and asked me this question, I would refer you to a behaviorist. Hope this helps!
