What can I do to stop my puppy from jumping on people at the door?

There are a few things you can do, and looking up "door/greeting manners" on a site like YouTube can give you some visual examples of these training techniques. When people come over, having a leash by the door is a good idea. At the first sign of knocking or a doorbell, leash up your dogs and keep them in a sitting position. If they jump up or become too excited, have your visitor ignore them until they are able to settle back down and sit again. Once they are calmer, offering them a treat is best to teach them that calm, quiet sitting behavior is rewarded, and being excited is not. If they are jumping up on you when you get home, you can do a similar thing by ignoring them until they are calmer (even if you have to stand there for a few minutes without moving). Once they are calm, offer a treat and praise. You may need to spend a day where you take a step, wait for calm behavior, take a step, wait, etc, until they are a bit better about understanding what you are doing. As for the excitement urination, this is often something dogs grow out of, but in the meantime it is best to just ignore the pup that potties. Try not to make a big deal out of coming home (which can lead to excitement and thus urination), and instead wait until both dogs are calm to acknowledge them. If you do give your pup some attention, making sure it's on a tile floor that is easy to clean is best!

One way to train him to behave when visitors come is to get him a dog mat. Place it where he can see visitors but not near the door or where they will be sitting. Train him to go to his mat on the command "MAT!" Then teach him to stay there until you release him (use a release word such as "okay" to let him know his stay is over). Enlist friends to do several practice sessions with them acting as guests (start with one at a time). When he is reliable, you can try this with actual guests. This is a very common problem with young, friendly dogs - they become overly excited when they greet people, and can't control their jumping and mouthing. This problem can be treated effectively with good training, but it will require you to be patient and consistent since it takes quite a while for most dogs to learn to control themselves in these situations. Training for this problem involves rewarding your dog for keeping all four paws on the floor as people approach, and gradually increasing the level of difficulty to include petting and actual greetings once he is doing well. Jumping on people to greet them is a very common and normal dog behavior - but since most humans don't appreciate it, it's definitely a good idea to teach him not to do this :) I would recommend keeping Scooby on-leash when he meets people, so that you can prevent him from continuing to practice this behavior. Stand at a distance from the person, and ask him to sit - reward with a treat when he does. Then move a bit closer, and ask him to sit again. If he gets too excited, just back up to where he can be calm again and focus, then try again. Eventually, with practice, you should be able to walk him right up to a person and ask him to sit before they pet him. I recommend having Lilly in the crate when people come over. When they are inside and settled then let her out of the crate to greet them. They should not focus on her just continue socially with you. If she's calm they can pat her but I wouldn't do anything to get her excited. Over time she'll learn that when she's under control she can be with visitors. If she gets too excited then I would put her outside or back into the crate, This is not punishment per se but rather a time out until she can control her behavior. Training her will take time and patience but it will be worth the effort when you have a well behaved companion. I agree that curbing this behavior is a good idea. The best thing to do would be to train Rey to go to a specific location when someone enters the house. She should be trained to sit and wait until you call her. Begin training with just her. Then introduce the other dog on a leash with a helper. This will take some time and the guidance of a professional trainer may facilitate and speed things up.
