How do I get my puppy to stop biting me? He made me bleed today. I have tried the puppy training classes, sprays, timeouts, pressing on his tongue, yelling, etc. and his behavior continues. I am concerned that he will bite someone outside and he will be put down. How else can I curb this behavior?

Puppy biting is normal, but can be painful especially when new teeth grow in! Stopping all play, yelping "ouch!" and getting up and walking away can help teach him when he is too rough and learn that the fun stops when he gets too excited. Working on impulse control behaviors (take it, leave it, sit, stay, etc) can also help as can redirecting his attention to an appropriate chew toy such as a Kong or Nylabone that can encourage chewing on safer objects. I'm also including a few articles that may help!
