How do I stop my dog from being so hyper and jumping up at visitors? I can't control him as he's such a big dog and he's accidentally hurt people before by jumping up

I strongly recommend taking Ziggy to professional training if he is too big for you to handle. Jumping up to the point where he is injured people is unacceptable and is only gonna get worse as he gets older. There are harnesses available to help prevent dogs from jumping, but these need to be used in conjunction with the training. Basic obedience training is going to be the foundation to work on any other problems. Ziggy should know sit stay and heal and be willing to listen to those commands even when excited. Many times your veterinarian is a good resource for a referral to a trainer or veterinary behaviorist. The books and website of Dr. Sophia Yun might give you some information in the meantime. https://drsophiayin.com/product/perfect-puppy-in-7-days-how-to-start-your-puppy-off-right/
