What should I do for my rescued, starving newborn orphan puppy?

They need feeding every few hours. If you feel like he is very weak, then I would recommend an exam by a veterinarian to be sure there isn't a medical cause for his weakness. They can look him over and be sure he is healthy, and help show you how to feed him and stimulate him to go to the bathroom if that is a problem for him.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor baby! I would have Billy dewormed and a stool checked for parasites. At 7-8 weeks you need to start his puppy vaccines (DHPP). At this time he should eat canned puppy food and you can add puppy formula for a week or 2. I do not think he needs to be bottle fed at 4 weeks. Good luck

Hand raising a newborn puppy is very time intensive, and unfortunately it's not always successful because they are so fragile. First thing you need to do is go out to a pet store and get some puppy formula. Cow's milk is not appropriate for a puppy. I recommend the KMR brand of puppy formula, you may be able to get it at your grocery store or your vet's office should have puppy formula. You will also need a small bottle to feed him. Thanks for using PetCoach. Your little guy needs very frequent feeding (every 2 hours) and is also likely looking for a warm body to snuggle up against. Also don't forget to stimulate him to defecate and urinate before and after every feeding. Oh no, those poor puppies! How lovely of you to look after the puppies. You will have to bottle feed them, and first thing you need to get is puppy formula replacer. Poor pup. He needs puppy milk replacement because the buffalo milk likely isn't enough nutrition for him. You can buy puppy milk replacement formula online or at your local feed store in most cases. You can even check with your local vet clinics to see if they carry it. If he isn't active, he may be ill, which would warrant a vet visit as well if the new formula does not improve his activity level. You have to feed puppies this young once every 2-3 hours, so if you are only doing it 2 times a day, it is severely malnourished just from that alone.
