Sorbitol is used for stool softer in hospitals, what will this do to my 3.5 pound yorkie?

Sorbitol is a common ingredient in laxatives and stool softeners. It is not toxic to dogs, but large quantities may cause stomach upset (vomiting or diarrhea). Given by your vet at an appropriate dose, it is quite safe.
