Why is my Shih Tzu having trouble walking, breathing, and eating?

I'm sorry to hear Lala is having issues. There can be multiple causes for wheezing in dogs, including heart disease, a collapsing trachea, upper respiratory tract infections, allergies, or another underlying issue. If she does not seem in distress, you can monitor her to see if it is persistent. If she is having trouble breathing or you are concerned, I would have her evaluated by a veterinarian right away. Otherwise I would touch base with her regular veterinarian to discuss what may be going on and if she needs an exam or X-rays to get to the bottom of it. Good luck!

Poor Buster. This could be several different things and possible multiple different things. The difficulty breathing could be from heart disease, pneumonia and even cancer. The rigid activity concerns me that he may have had a seizure which could have be from not getting enough oxygen or something else. I doubt this has anything to do with his eye since that was so long ago but I cannot say for sure since i do not know his full medical history. I would Have your vet take a look at him as soon as possible. They will be able to determine the cause and get him on meds to help him feel better before he gets worse. I hope this helps!

Poor Snoop. His reluctance to move and lack of energy makes me worry that he may be in pain. Orthopedic problems usually present as slight behavior changes as you described. He could've possibly hurt his hindlimbs or spine. I'd highly recommend having him seen by a veterinarian for an orthopedic examination and physical exam. They can help isolate the origin of his discomfort if present.

Poor girl. She is a cutie. Her nares do look quite small and this can certainly cause breathing issues constantly but gasping in her sleep is a bit exaggerated and definitely worth a look. The vet needs to make sure she isn’t developing an upper airway infection and also make sure that she isn’t developing some kind of heart issue. I hope that your pet Bella does well moving forward. Poor Buddy! I'm sorry to hear that he's having this problem. From your description, I would be concerned about a possible neurologic problem such as a stroke or brain tumor. He may also have severe arthritis issues, or may have a systemic illness of some kind or may have ingested something toxic. This sounds quite serious, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic this evening for an exam. The veterinarian there can do blood work or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what can be done to help.
