Why is my senior Lab vomiting, lethargic, and peeing uncontrollably?

Hello. So sorry to hear that Browny is not feeling well. He definitely needs to be seen by a vet for an exam and bloodwork. It sounds like he could have diabetes or kidney disease as he is showing some of the symptoms. Of course he could have any number of other things going on but those are very common and can be easily diagnosed with bloodwork. That would be the place to start. Vomiting and diarrhea are nonspecific symptoms that can be a sign of many underlying diseases, such as problems within the GI tract (ingestion of foreign material, etc) or systemic problems (liver or kidney disease, pancreatitis, etc). It sounds like Button is pretty sick. She is showing several different symptoms and could have a number of things going on. In older dogs like her I worry about things such as diabetes, a urinary tract infection, and cancer. I would recommend taking her to your vet to be checked out as soon as possible. Your vet will most likely want to perform some lab work, possibly a urinalysis, and maybe even some x-rays. Please take her to your veterinarian this sounds serious. Banjo has many issues and it would be hard to be sure which reason is causing her current issues. Hopefully with the correct treatment she will improve. They will examine her and check blood work, check her heart and breathing and may need to do X-rays to get a diagnosis. Hello, thank you for your question about Bubba. Vomiting is a nonspecific sign than can be indicative of problems within the GI tract or systemic disease. Problems within the GI tract can include obstruction, eating foreign material, inflammation, parasites, etc. Systemic diseases that make pets nauseous include liver/kidney disease or pancreatitis. If Bubba continues to vomit and unable to keep even water down I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian. Severe vomiting can lead to dehydration and abnormalities in some electrolytes. Your veterinarian can examine Bubba and then discuss additional diagnostics such as bloodwork and abdominal x-rays to look for a cause for her symptoms. Hope this helps, good luck!

Blaiser sounds quite ill! There are a couple of things going on with him at the moment. This excessive drinking and urination could be caused by diabetes, kidney failure, Cushing's disease, a UTI, or bladder stones. The large bumps could be due to cysts, lipomas, abscesses, benign tumors, or malignant tumors. The panting more could be due to cardiac disease or metastasis from a malignant tumor. Blaiser has to see a vet as soon as possible, and today would be best. He needs a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, fine needle aspirate of the bumps, and chest x-rays. These tests will diagnose what is causing his symptoms, and the vet can discuss treatment options with you. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

I am sorry to hear about Bruno! With his symptoms going on for several days and his age, I would recommend bringing him into the vet for an examination as soon as possible. There are MANY possible causes for vomiting in dogs https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/vomiting-1/ ranging from ingesting some food that starts a bout of pancreatitis (which can result in decreased appetite and vomiting) to infections to tumors to other internal diseases such as liver or kidney issues. The vet will perform a physical examination and will likely recommend diagnostic testing such as x-rays and bloodwork to try to determine what is causing Bruno's illness and how best to treat it. Treatment will depend on the cause but often includes injectable medication to help with vomiting/nausea and fluids with an IV to help with dehydration.
