My senior dog trembles after leg surgery. Is it pain? Should I call vet?

It's possible she has injured her back. many times there will not be any signs on a physical exam until the injury happens. Certainly an injury to the joints of the leg are also possible. I recommend to try to get her examined as soon as you can. A back injury can become chronic and serious in nature (just like humans). Be up front with the doctor about your cost concerns. Until you have her examined, she needs exercise restriction so NO running, jumping, going for walks, stairs or getting on the furniture. Crate her when you are not watching her and she should be on a leash anytime she goes outside. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

From your description it sounds like she is in pain. By now, Thursday this should have gotten much less (not knowing what surgery she underwent I cannot give you an exact time frame). By now she should also eat again. You should take her back to the vet for a recheck, as this is not normal and she would at least need more pain medicine to make her more comfortable.

Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Bentley's care today! Lameness and/or possible leg pain and shaking can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. After surgery some pets need additional pain medications to help manage any residual pain they are experiencing. It sounds that Naida is anticipating that her leg will be uncomfortable. If these signs do not resolve within the next few days I would recommend having her evaluated by a veterinarian so that they can examine the limb and consider prescribing additional pain medications. Poor pup! It sounds like she may be in pain still or having a hard time recovering from her surgery. I would let your vet know right away so they can either provide a different medication, or have her seen to make sure there isn't an infection or other complication that needs to be addressed.

The wound looks perfect. Sonetimes they shake because of the after egfects of aneasthetic, but strong pain killers such as tramadol can make dogs feel strange. I would suggest stopping the tramadol now and see how she gets on.
