My senior dog is sick from antibiotics. Should I stop her medication?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 15 years and 7 months old | 70 lbs

My dogs antibiotics are making her sick she was doing well before the meds but now not eating puking and is shaking an hour after a dose.she is 15 with cancer and has already went past her expected survival so my question is can I just stop the antibiotics and watch the uti untill symptoms effect her living..and make plans to put to rest or force her to continue on meds that are hurting her don't know what to do want what's best

I'm very sorry you are dealing with this. At this point, you should discuss quality of life issues with your veterinarian. Friday may be able to get an antibiotic injection that, hopefully, would not cause stomach upset. If your veterinarian is unavailable due to the holiday, consider a visit to the local veterinary ER. After an exam, the vet on staff could recommend a different antibiotic or an injection.
