Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Male | neutered | 11 years and 11 months old | 11 lbs
We have an 11-year old mini-dachshund who had a ruptured disc 6 yrs ago. With cortisone shots and a week of vet care, we took him home, restricting his movement in a small fenced area in the house for 3 months until he recovered. Now he has intermittent paralysis of his back legs; his back seems to twist oddly in both directions, & he has trouble walking. But then he takes off running & seems fine. No signs of pain, no yelping. Should we restrict his movement again? Or is some movement good?
