Why is my senior dog dizzy, skittish, and throwing up yellow?

Kelly could be showing signs of a neurologic disease if she seems disoriented during these episodes where she seems to hear or see things. It’s also possible that she has developed anxiety, or that she is painful. The vomiting could be a sign of a gastrointestinal problem. I think it sounds like you should make an appointment with your vet to have her examined and discuss the behavior change in more detail. A thorough physical exam would rule out pain and potentially a neurologic problem.

I'm sorry to hear Badger is having issues. There could be multiple causes for the dizzy-like spells you are seeing, including an orthopedic issue, an underlying medical issue, or a neurologic issue. Neurologically older dogs can get something called vestibular disease, which affects the inner ear and controls balance. When affected, this leads to vertigo like symptoms. Vestibular disease can be seen in older dogs with no apparent underlying cause, or can be secondary to an inner ear infection or growth in the inner ear. I would recommend he be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine the underlying causes for the issue he is having, have any necessary testing done (X-ray, bloodwork) and start any treatment that he may need. Tyler may have had a seizure. I do recommend bringing him into your vet’s for screening bloodwork to rule out severe liver/kidney issues that may cause seizures. If the episode happens again, keep him away from stairs and away from objects that he may hurt himself on during the seizure and stay away from his mouth to avoid being accidentally bitten. Vets generally do not start dogs on seizure medications unless they have had 2 or more seizures in a month or have a seizure lasting more than a few minutes. First, I would ensure that there was nothing out of the ordinary Jasper could have gotten into (like people food or treats) as that could upset his tummy. If he recovered from this episode uneventfully you could keep an eye on him for the next few hours and see how he does. If there's more vomiting, disorientation or seizure like behavior (like trembling or convulsions) I would take him in to see your vet. I would consult with your veterinarian and report her symptoms (not an emergency unless she experiences another episode today). Your vet can perform a thorough exam and recommend any other diagnostics to make sure there is nothing obvious that needs treatment. Depending on what they find and if she has more episodes, appropriate treatment can be recommended.

Poor Phiilix ! I am really worried about him. This could be several things like a toxin, seizures, heart problems, liver or kidney disease, and much more. I would have your vet take a look at him as soon as possible. If you have an episode on video this could be helpful for your vet but not a requirement. Your vet may want to do blood work. They will be able to determine the cause and get him started on the proper meds to help him feel better and hopefully stop these weird episodes. I hope this helps!

I wouldn't jump to thinking the end is near from what you're seeing so far. I think he needs a general exam and full blood work to see how his organs are working. It would be helpful to get a video of the barking event to show your vet (and also probably nearly impossible, but give it a try). Also try to notice if he is aware of his surroundings when the barking episodes happen. If not, I would be more concerned about seizures, which would be more serious.
