Why is my dog seeing things, trembling, and throwing up food?

I’m wondering if Kiki might be showing signs of vestibular disease, a disease that affects the nerves of he inner ear in dogs and can occur suddenly. It may also cause nausea. Ingestion of a toxin or other neurologic disease could also cause difficulty walking and unusual behavior. I would recommend seeing your vet for an exam - vestibular disease is usually diagnosed based on a physical exam.

It sounds as Kehlani is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Dogs can sometimes get growly when they do not feel well. The question is why does she not feel well and what is making her vomit. There are numerous reasons for vomiting including ingestion of a foreign body, pancreatitis, viral or bacterial infections, liver or kidney disease, and more. I recommend a trip to your veterinarian where they can perform radiographs (x-rays) of the abdomen to check for signs of obstruction, and lab tests to rule out other causes of nausea. I hate to hear that Morgan is having this issue. It’s very hard to say what the cause is. The potential causes that come to mind are a cardiac arrhythmia, a blood pressure problem or perhaps something neurologic in nature like a focal seizure. Because it’s hard to know for sure, I recommend to play it safe and have her seen by her veterinarian. The doctor will preform a neurological exam and may test her blood pressure and take an ECG reading. It’s better to catch any issues like this early. These could be symptoms of a toxicity (e.g. if Shelby recently ate something toxic to dogs like raisins, chocolate, sugar free gum, antifreeze, aspirin); liver or kidney disease (both of which can cause nausea/vomiting); pancreatitis (vomiting/diarrhea due to an inflamed pancreas from eating table food), possibly a foreign body obstruction or other causes. All of these possibilities are potentially life threatening and the safest option is to take Shelby to a veterinary ER as soon as possible for bloodwork, radiographs and treatment as indicated based on the physical exam. I wouldn't jump to thinking the end is near from what you're seeing so far. I think he needs a general exam and full blood work to see how his organs are working. It would be helpful to get a video of the barking event to show your vet (and also probably nearly impossible, but give it a try). Also try to notice if he is aware of his surroundings when the barking episodes happen. If not, I would be more concerned about seizures, which would be more serious. I hope you find out nothing serious is going on soon!
