How much Royal Canin puppy food per meal for an 8-week cockapoo?

According to the feeding directions on the back of the bag, it should be about 1/2 cup, so the amount you are feeding should be adequate. And, great you are feeding three times a day. It's actually time to consider transitioning Snowball to a puppy food as the RC Mini Starter is meant for pups less than 8 weeks old. It's good nutrition, but may be too much now. I hope this helps.

Hello. At this age, a puppy should be fed 3 times a day with limited treats. You can transition him to twice a day feedings somewhere between 16 - 20 weeks of age. As long as the food you choose is a well-balanced puppy food, such as Science Diet, Royal Canin or Purina, you can continue to feed Roman the canned, or a combination of canned & dry. If you are using Royal canin the amount you need to give your puppy is written on the food label, if you are using a different food you cannot use this measuring cup as each brand has different recommended amounts of food but here again it is written on the food label of every food.

I recommend feeding a large breed puppy food four times daily. I start with the amount recommended on the bag. If he is ravenous then I increase that amount at each meal so that he’s hungry and just about finishes the food but isn’t starving. Many active dogs need more food than recommended, so I judge the amount by your specific dogs needs. Gradually decrease to three meals a day after a month or two then to two meals daily when he’s six to eight months old. Please just used a balanced diet made for puppies. All those supplements are not good for a growing puppy. Those should only be fed as an adult and only if needed. If you feed a well-balanced, high quality diet like Royal Canin he should not need any supplements. Using those in a puppy is asking for trouble. I am assuming you mean Royal Canin for rc? Congratulations on adding Snoopy to your family! I would recommend to feed him 3 times a day and I would not recommend to feed him milk. He is weaned at this age so it will only upset his tummy. When he is 16 weeks old, you can switch him to twice daily feedings. Feed him a high quality puppy food such as Royal Canin or Purina ProPlan. Please post again with any further questions!
