No it should be fine. I would just make sure you get him all of his vaccines and make sure he is socialized and trained properly. It is best to socialize them with other people and dogs when they are young, but you don't want to take the to a public park where you don't know the vaccine history of the other dogs. It is best to take them to a friend's house that has a healthy, fully vaccinated dog to help with socialization. I hope this helps!

At this age, you should be focused on helping Tobi learn that the world is a safe place and that you are fun to be around - this will help him grow up to be a calm, easy-going adult dog and will help with all of your future training. You can also start working on specific obedience skills such as sit, down, come, etc. All training should be reward-based using treats, and sessions should be kept short and fun. I would recommend enrolling Tobi in a good puppy kindergarten class if you have one nearby. This is a great way to help socialize him to other dogs and people, and will also get you started with some training you can work on at home. Rottweilers, as a breed, can be very good pets - some are aggressive, but many are friendly and easy-going. I'm not sure if there was something about your puppy in particular that may have concerned your vet, such as signs of aggression or extreme fearfulness during the visit - if so, early referral to a veterinary behavior specialist would be the best option to determine if there is a problem and start working on it early in life. If the puppy is acting normal (friendly and curious, not overly anxious or aggressive towards anyone), there is no particular reason at this stage to think that he won't be a good pet when he's older.

I would probably recommend a female. there are so many things that needs to be checked in a new puppy, i would strongly recommend taking him to the vet the same day for a puppy checkup, this way you will have the option to return her if there is something wrong.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Since you are bottle feeding I would start to wean sooner than if she was nursing from her mom. Milk replacers tend to either constipate or cause diarrhea. Since she is having loose stools I would have a fecal tested at the vet for parasites. Coccidia is common in puppies. By 2 weeks of age you can start dewormning with pyrantel pamoate every 2 weeks. Starting at 4-5 weeks offer canned puppy food and milk replacer twice daily. At 5-6 weeks mix canned with dry puppy food and bottle feed once daily and by 6-7 weeks just dry and off the bottle by then. Once stool a day is not enough. I would buy a different brand of milk replacer and mix with what you are using now to get a better consistency for the stool. 2.5 lbs=40 ounces, so you should be feeding 50 mls every 3-4 hours or 350 mls per day. I would divide that out every 4-6 hours and see how things go and start weaning in the next 1-2 weeks. I hope this helps!
