You can try an attractant spray on the pads indoors. When it is time to go, spray it on the pad and lead him to it and wait. Once he urinates on the pad, offer profuse praise and a small reward. Be consistent and eventually, he will use the pads indoors when needed. To keep him going outside, offer praise and a small reward each time he urinates or defecates in the designated area outdoors.

I've had so many clients have success stories with potty training their puppy because of this product. It is basically a patch of grass that you order online that comes in a cardboard box that auto-ships to you to replace the used one. It will take several months to fully train Milo. Take him outside immediately after meals and first thing in the morning. Take him to an area that is specifically for potty and reward him with praise and a treat when he goes outside. You may want to consider using pee pads also inside during this cold time so he learns to go on them when it’s too cold rather than going wherever he wants in the house. Once it warms up and he’s older then you can be more strict about going outside. He’s a baby so don’t leave him outside alone and never for more than a few minutes at a time. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The easiest way is by using the pads and the training spray which makes them identify where they should urinate. I usually recommend that at the beginning you start by adding pads in just one place in the house so that they get used to urinating in only one spot. This usually works very well. Positive reinforcement is of course also important so giving her treats when she does go in the pad is very important so that she associates going in the pad with something positive. Good luck!

I would start by putting her on a leash and walking around with her in the yard she is used to using to go to the bathroom, so she can acclimate to being leashed and having you near her when she goes to the bathroom. You can also start using a command word for her peeing and pooping and giving her a treat along with the command word when she goes. For example, if you see her peeing outside say "Potty" and give her a treat. This will help her associate the word with the action and then when she is out on a walk you can try saying the word to encourage her to do the action (and follow up with a treat). You can also get her adjusted to a pen by putting it in your house now, and placing her bed/toys inside with the door open to encourage her to use the pen.
